Overview
SnapThumb ("we", "our", or "the site") is a static website that helps users view and download publicly available YouTube video thumbnails. This policy explains what information is processed when you use the site.
Information we process
URLs you paste
The YouTube URL or video ID you enter is processed entirely in your browser using client-side JavaScript. It is not transmitted to our application server because we do not operate a backend for this tool.
Thumbnail images
When you fetch thumbnails, your browser makes requests directly to YouTube's image CDN (i.ytimg.com). Google may log these requests according to its own privacy policies.
Server logs
Like most websites, our web host may collect standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited) for security and performance purposes. We do not combine these logs with the URLs you paste into the tool.
Analytics
We may optionally enable Google Analytics to understand general usage patterns (such as how often downloads succeed). When enabled, analytics is configured to track only generic events — not the URLs or video IDs you enter. Analytics is disabled by default until a site owner configures it.
Advertising
We may optionally display Google AdSense advertisements. When enabled, Google may use cookies and similar technologies according to its advertising policies. Ad slots are disabled by default.
Cookies
The core tool does not require cookies. Optional analytics or advertising services may set cookies when enabled by the site owner.
Children's privacy
The site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page.
