Why maxresdefault Is Unavailable
You pasted a video URL expecting a crisp 1280×720 thumbnail, but maxresdefault shows as unavailable. This is normal for many videos — here is why it happens and what to do instead.
What is maxresdefault?
maxresdefault.jpg is YouTube's highest-resolution standard thumbnail, typically 1280×720 pixels. It is served from:

Why it may be missing
- Low source resolution — Videos uploaded below HD quality may never generate a true 1280×720 thumbnail.
- Older uploads — YouTube did not always produce max-resolution thumbnails for every video.
- Placeholder response — The URL may return a tiny 120×90 placeholder image instead of a real HD thumbnail. SnapThumb detects this and marks the variant as unavailable.
