About SnapThumb

SnapThumb is a free, browser-based tool that helps you view and download YouTube video thumbnails in every size YouTube makes available through its public image CDN.

Why we built this

Creators, editors, journalists, and curious viewers often need a quick way to grab a video's cover image — whether to back up their own work, reference a design choice, or include a thumbnail in a presentation. Most existing tools are cluttered, slow, or require unnecessary signups. SnapThumb focuses on doing one thing well: paste a link, see every size, download what you need.

How it works

When you paste a YouTube URL, the video ID is extracted entirely in your browser. Thumbnail images are then loaded directly from i.ytimg.com. No data is sent to our servers, and no YouTube API key is required.

What we believe

• Utility tools should be fast, accessible, and respectful of your privacy.
• SEO content should be genuinely useful — not keyword-stuffed filler.
• Users should understand copyright implications before reusing images.
